Dream It, Be It

On March 9, 2024, Soroptimist International of Woodland held its yearly Soroptimist International of the America’s (SIA) signature program Dream It Be It. This program is our commitment to SIW’s Big Goal of “Investing in the dreams of half a million women and girls by the year of 2031”. The program was held at the Woodland Police Department’s Community Room. We had 7 participants who were engaged and participated in several interactive activities that focused on self-esteem and career goals. We held 4 sessions all leading to career goals.

During the program, both the participants and facilitators made their own dream boards. The conversations were engaging about the dreams that each participant wants for themselves. At the end of the program, each participant was asked to complete an evaluation of how they felt about the program. The comments were wonderful. Many said the same thing “Keep doing this”. We look forward to doing this event in the coming year.
