International Women’s Day Tea - A Celebration of Empowerment and Community

On March 10, 2025, Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc. hosted a virtual tea party in honor of International Women’s Day. This special event also served as a virtual parallel event within the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) NGO Forum, reinforcing a global commitment to advancing women’s rights and gender equality.

Our local Woodland club gathered at the lovely home of Chris Campbell, where members came together to celebrate women’s achievements and foster meaningful connections. The afternoon featured a delightful selection of savory and sweet finger foods, lovingly prepared by our members, as we tuned in to inspiring discussions from Soroptimist International of the Americas (SIA) via Zoom.

Speakers highlighted the ongoing efforts to empower women and girls through education, mentorship, and community support, reinforcing the impact of our collective mission. The event was a beautiful reminder of the strength of our Soroptimist community and our shared commitment to creating opportunities for women to thrive.
