Cheers to a Sparkling Success! The 9th Annual Woodland Winefest

BEST. WINEFEST. EVER. What a magnificent day it was on May 17th as Soroptimist International of Woodland hosted our 9th Annual Woodland Winefest! As our biggest fundraiser of the year, this event is the culmination of over six months of dedicated planning, meticulous organizing, and tireless communication from our incredible members with sponsors, vendors, state and local officials, and our social media channels. And the afternoon proved to be a wonderful success!

The weather on May 17th was perfect, setting the stage for an unforgettable afternoon. 14 returning favorites, including a brewery, a meadery, and 12 wineries, joined by 2 new wineries and a cider house, poured samples to the delight of Winefest guests. Three vendors new to Winefest joined two returning favorites in providing a delicious culinary landscape. Music from the Band Still Waters paved the way for a relaxed, engaging atmosphere. Everyone seemed to appreciate the new site layout, which provided more space to taste, roam, visit, and relax.

Between tastings from our fabulous alcohol and food vendors, guests participated in our Silent Auction, bidding on a wide array of offerings from local companies and organizations. Thanks to the generosity of our community and enthusiastic guest participation, we saw incredible results. Two lucky guests won raffle prizes of a booze wagon and a wine wagon.

This year's Winefest highlighted the spirit of our community and the teamwork and dedication of our members. Preliminary tallies show this year's Winefest is near fundraising record! Funds raised will directly support SIW’s vital programs, empowering women and girls in our local area.
